Hans Lindberg Farewell
When the lights went out, the hall fell silent and the ball was lowered from the roof, everyone knew: this was more than just a farewell. Hans Lindberg - celebrated with goosebumps, projections and standing ovations.
Goosebumps. Respect. Pure emotion.
After more than 18 years in the Bundesliga, countless goals, titles and magical moments, an absolute legend of handball bid farewell: Hans Lindberg. The exceptional Danish player, top scorer and crowd favorite shaped the game like no other with his precision, calmness and experience. A player who never had to be loud to achieve great things - and who remains in the hearts of the fans.
For the last home game in the Fuchsbau, we staged a farewell for Hans that did justice to his career: After the final whistle, the lights were dimmed - absolute silence. Then a giant ball was lowered from the roof of the hall, onto which the greatest highlights of his career were played in an emotional projection: Goals, triumphs, titles - but also gestures, looks, pure passion.
And then: Loud chants of "Hans Lindberg" echoed through the hall. Pure goosebumps. It was a moment of gratitude, amazement - and deep respect for a player who was consistently world class over the years.
A farewell that didn't just end - but had a lasting effect.
Thank you, Hans. For everything.
