The focus is on 23-year-old Josia Beshay, who, starting on May 2, completed a 1,000-kilometer solo ultramarathon from Nice to Barcelona. Over the course of 20 days, he ran about 50 kilometers each day—not just as an athletic challenge, but as a personal and social statement.
The project is based on personal experiences and observations of the growing mental pressure faced by the younger generation. Issues such as the pressure to perform, fears about the future, and social isolation are ubiquitous, yet they often go unspoken.

With Finding Pace , fivekit combines this personal motivation with a cinematic narrative: The documentary follows the run as both a physical test of limits and an inner journey. The result is a multi-layered portrait of physical strain, reflection, and the quest to find a healthier way of relating to oneself.
The goal of the project is to raise awareness about mental health, spark conversations, and provide concrete support. In addition to the film, the project also includes a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting organizations working to prevent depression.
What makes *Finding Pace* unique is its combination of real-time storytelling and documentary-style analysis: while the run is covered on social media, a Film is being produced in parallel that explores the events in greater depth and places them within a broader social context.
"Finding Pace " is exactly the kind of story we want to tell: personal, relevant, and full of hope. Josia’s run is an extraordinary athletic achievement, but even more important is the question of why he sets out to run in the first place. The Film room for these answers and for a topic that affects all of us as a society.

fivekit is producing the Film with a network of creatives who support the project out of a shared passion.
