Wi-Fi, just as you need it
For FRITZ!, the aim was to show how differently the internet is used in everyday life. Instead of focusing on technology, we looked at the little quirks—working from home in the bathtub, setting up the couch for binge-watching, or grandparents riding through the living room with VR glasses—and used them to create short, slightly absurd everyday moments.
The film was shot cinematically, with clear imagery and a sense of timing that doesn't explain the scenes, but simply lets them unfold. Working closely with the cast and crew, a series of clips was created that leave room for recognition—and for the quiet question of how we ourselves are online.
The internet. And what we make of it.
We were less interested in data rates than in people. In routines, evasive maneuvers, and little quirks that arise when the internet is simply there. So we created situations that are familiar—only taken one step further: the home office moves into the bathtub, the couch becomes a command center, and a VR ride begins in the living room, ending with a vaulting horse and the edge of the carpet.
The films work through observation and timing. Each scene stays close to its characters, takes them seriously, and lets the humor arise from the situation, not from the punchline. The camera and lighting remain deliberately clear and calm so that the space appears credible—even when cowboys are galloping through a row house.
In our design, we didn't isolate the world of products, but integrated it as a matter of course. Routers and repeaters are part of everyday life, sitting on shelves, flashing away and doing their job while a little chaos goes on around them. The result is not a technical film, but a collection of moments that feel familiar.
In addition to the main films, numerous assets for paid ads, landing pages, and banners were created. Each format conveys the same idea, but in a different way—sometimes as a brief glimpse, sometimes as a slightly longer scene. The end result is a campaign that focuses less on explaining how the internet works and more on showing how we live with it.
